HelixNotes is open source, and it is not a one-person show. Code is only part of it - design, visuals, and community work are what turn a project into something people actually find and use. Everyone below helps keep it alive.

Creator Code Releases

Started HelixNotes because every other note app made him compromise. Builds the Rust + Tauri core and the SvelteKit front-end, ships the releases across every platform, and keeps the lights on.

Community Design Code

Runs the show outside the codebase - Reddit, Mastodon, visuals, and announcements - so HelixNotes actually reaches the people who would love it.

Code

Added the OpenAI-compatible AI provider (LM Studio, LocalAI, vLLM) and the optional Ollama API key, and made AI Actions work with any configured provider, not just Ollama.

Packaging & Tools

Smaller but no less appreciated: the people and projects that package HelixNotes for more systems and make it easier to get started.

SolusOS
Packaged HelixNotes in the official Solus repository.
doceys
Wrote the Nix flake, so Nix and NixOS users can build and run HelixNotes.
davi-jorge-art
Built the Joplin-to-HelixNotes migration script, now part of the documentation.

Reports, ideas, and feedback

A genuine thank-you to everyone who reports bugs, suggests ideas, tests early builds, and talks through HelixNotes in the community. A lot of what makes the app great started as someone's report or idea, even when their name is not on a commit.
