Started HelixNotes because every other note app made him compromise. Builds the Rust + Tauri core and the SvelteKit front-end, ships releases across every platform, maintains the AUR and F-Droid repos, runs the website, and handles bug reports and feature requests from the community.
Runs the show outside the codebase - Reddit, Mastodon, visuals, and announcements - so HelixNotes actually reaches the people who would love it. Also added 20 color themes and accent presets to the app, code block copy buttons, and wiki-link auto-create with in-place rename and alias support - and plenty more.
Shipped editor zoom shortcuts (Ctrl/Cmd +/-/0 and Ctrl+wheel), the Scroll Past End option, a fix for cursor placement inside collapsible section titles, /secret blocks with PBKDF2 600k + AES-256-GCM, zoom viewport anchoring, and selection pair wrapping for brackets, quotes, and backticks - and plenty more.
Packaging & Tools
Smaller but no less appreciated: the people and projects that package HelixNotes for more systems and make it easier to get started.
Reports, ideas, and feedback
A genuine thank-you to everyone who reports bugs, suggests ideas, tests early builds, and talks through HelixNotes in the community. A lot of what makes the app great started as someone's report or idea, even when their name is not on a commit.
